Miss Thrifty's March 2016 Net Worth

March, my beloved debt repayment month.

Although my net worth may not have improved much this month (in fact, it's gone down) since February, I'm not feeling down. You know why?

... Because I paid $3,465 this month toward my student loans!

To do this, I used a several sources a) federal tax refund, b) my friend paying me back a big chuck of the money I lent her, c) taking a few hundred from my backup savings.

Both my retirement accounts had gains this month! (Note: I do not contribute anything to the 403b, it's from my former job; I contribute $100/month to the Roth IRA).

This month I had a couple splurges so I didn't meet my goal of putting away 50% of my paycheck. Instead, this month, I spent 62% of it! Oh, man.

Mr. Spendy and I went out of town one weekend so that was a little chunk of change. Plus, I saw a couple plants that I thought I really needed (err, wanted) at Sam's Club. Greenery is one of my weaknesses. Oh, and I started this blog which had a couple fees associated with the domain registry and hosting.

All in all, I'm still just happy I'm in the green and that there's less and less red each month.

How did you do this March?
